એટલી વાર માં મહિનો પૂરો થઈ જવા આવ્યો! વિચારો ના વમળ ઉભરતાં વાર ના લાગે – નવરા મગજ માં! નવરાશે મને એવો ભાસ થાય કે “મને બધ્ધું આવડે!” આજે પણ એવા જ મૂડ માં છું. વિશ્વના સામાજિક ઇતિહાસ માં ૪૦ દિવસ નો મહિમા ગવાય છે. ઇસુ કે પૈગંબર કે મૂસા, બધા ૪૦ દિવસ કશેક રહ્યા, અને જ્ઞાન મેળવી સમાજ માં પાછા આવ્યા. આપણાં સમાજમાં પણ યમદૂત ને ૪૦ દિવસ સ્વર્ગે પહોંચતા લાગે, અને પછી આપણે શ્રાદ્ધ કરીયે. જરા ઇન્ટરનેટ પર આ ૪૦ દિવસ ની ખાસિયત માટે શોધખોળ કરી તો જાણવા મળ્યું કે પ્રાચીન સભ્યતા ઓ આ ૪૦ દિવસ નું એક કાળચક્ર માનતા હતા, અને સમય નો ગાળો માપવા માં ઉપયોગ કરતાં! બીજું ઘણું વાંચ્યું પણ કઈ મગજમાં બેઠું નહીં. ચાલો વર્તમાન સમય ની વાતો કરીએ. આજે (૨૮મી ફેબ્રુઆરી) ટ્રમ્પ નો અમેરિકા માં રાજ્યાભિષેક થયા ને ૪૦ દિવસ પૂરા થશે. કોને કેટલું જ્ઞાન મળ્યું? કોની, કંઈ વાત કે સિદ્ધાંત નું શ્રાદ્ધ મનાવવું પડશે? વિશ્વના રાજનેતા – જે જાહેરમાં તો પોતાને રામ અને હરિષચંદ્ર ના સિદ્ધાંતિક વન્શંજ ગણાવતા હોય – કેટલી ક્ષણોમાં પાઘડી ફેરવી તોલી? અર્થાત આ લોકશાહી ના આ નાટકિયા એ શેનો ઘાણ વાળ્યો? સૌ પ્રથમ તો એનો જૂનો પરચો રાજનીતિ માં ફેરવ્યો. જ્યારે મન ફાવે ત્યારે જુઠ્ઠું બોલવું, અને મન ફાવે એને ગાળ દેવી. એમાં જ્ઞાન નો અંશ એવો, કે અમેરિકા ની રાજગાદી પર બેસો, તો બધી જાત નું વર્તન માફ. બીજું ખાસ પરિવર્તન વ્યાપક થયું તે એમ કે વિનય, સંસ્કાર, સિદ્ધાંત બધા નાટક ખાતે જ રાજનીતિ માં વપરાય, એ વર્તન પાળવા માટે નથી. ધાડપાડુ ની માફક, એક પીડિત દેશ ના દુશ્મન સાથે મળી, એ દેશને નગુણો કહેવો, એના નેતા ને ગાળ દેવી, અને પછી કહેવું કે આટલા પૈસા આપ્યા છે – માનવતા ને નામે – એની બદલી માં દસ ગણા વધુ સંપત્તિ લૂંટવા દેવી! અંગ્રેજી માં આને બ્લૅકમેઈલ કહેવાય, અને વિશ્વના તમામ દેશના કાયદા પ્રમાણે સખત ગુનો મનાય છે. પણ અમેરિકા ના અર્વાચીન લોકશાહી રાજા આવું કરે તો એને સુંદર કરાર કહેવાય – સમજ્યા? અને પેલા પીડિત દેશના દુશ્મન – અમેરિકા ના નવા સાથી – કોણ? આજ ના સમય ના સાક્ષાત રાક્ષસ! એક બાજુ કહે કે અમેરિકા દુનિયા ના રખવાળ નથી! અમે સૌ પ્રથમ અમારું હીત સંભાળશું – માન આપવા જેવી ઇચ્છા! – પણ એ ઇચ્છા ને પરિપૂર્ણ કરવા માટે જે કંઇ દાવ પેચ, દાદાગીરી, બળજબરી કરીએ એ પણ માન્ય રાખવી – દુનિયાએ. અમેરિકા ના રાજકીય સમાજ ના બે જબ્બર ઢોંગ બાહર પડ્યા છે. એક કે અમેરિકા નું રાજકારણ અમેરિકા ના સમાજ ના માનવતા ના સંસ્કાર પાળશે! ટ્રમ્પ ની રાજનીતિ પ્રમાણે ફક્ત પૈસો જ સંસ્કાર છે! પાડોશી દેશો તો હજુ એના રાજ્યાભિષેક નો ઉત્સવ સમાપ્ત નથી થયો ત્યાં તો પાઘડી બદલી, અને કરવેરા ની ધમકી નાબૂદ કરવા આ નવા રાજા ને જોઈતું હતું, એ પરિપૂર્ણ કરવાની ઘોષણા કરી. દૂર ના દેશો લાઇન લગાડી ઊભા, કે અમે પણ તમને જોઈએ છે એ કરીશું! સાચી વાત કહું, તો એ બધા એ પોતાના દેશ નો સ્વાર્થ સાચવ્યો, એ માન ને પાત્ર છે, પણ એ કરી ને આ અવિવેક ને પ્રોત્સાહન આપ્યું એનું શું? ભારત કે વિલાયત કે ફ્રાંસ તો નામાંકિત દેશો છે, પણ આ પ્રોત્સાહન ને લીધે નાના દેશો પર દાદાગીરી કરી પરવારશે એનું શું? યુક્રેન ની શું હાલત કરી છે એનો ખ્યાલ પણ છે કોઈ ને? ઘાયલ કી ગતિ ઘાયલ હી જાને! એ દેશ ના ઘા પર મરચું મીઠું અને અપમાન રેડયા. એક પણ નેતા એ ટીકા કરી? (આ લખ્યું બપોર ના, અને સાજ સુધીમાં આ ગંડુ રાજા એ હદ પાર કરી, દુર્યોધન જેવા વર્તન થી, અને ત્યારે જગત ના નેતા ઑ યુક્રેન ના પક્ષ માં સહારો આપ્યો!) બધા એ પોતાના દેશ ના સ્વાર્થ ની રક્ષા કરી, બીજા જાય પાઈટ માં પડે! આખા વિશ્વના વાતાવરણમાં એક અટ્ટાહાસ્ય સંભળાય છે! કોણ આટલું પેટ પકડી હસે છે? ચીન ના નેતા. કોઈના દુખ જોઈ ને નહીં, પણ દેશો ના દિખાને કે દાંત ને પડતા જોઈ ને! રુસ માટે બધા ટીકા કરે કે દેશ માં પૈસો જ મહાન છે, અને રાજનેતા મહાન વ્યાપારી છે, ખાદી પહેરેલા (એ દેશ ની ખાદી માં). ઓલિગાર્ક તો એક સખત અપમાન નો શબ્દ છે, અને રુસ ઓલિગાર્ક પ્રજા રાજ કરે છે, એવી માન્યતા વ્યાપક છે! હવે અમેરિકા ના મંત્રીમંડળ માં કોણ છે? અમેરિકા ના વ્યાપારી- ચાલો, આ પણ એક કળિયુગ નું પ્રમાણ છે. શું આ રાજા એ બધું જ ખોટું કર્યું છે? અમેરિકા માં માનવતા ના નાટક એટલા પ્રધાન થઈ ગયેલા કે સમાજ નું પ્રદૂષણ વધી ગયેલું. કોઈ પણ દેશ માં ગેરકાયદેસર પરદેશી ઓ ઘૂસી જાય, તો એ દેશ ના સમાજ ની હાનિ જ થાય, અને સરકાર કે વહીવટદારો નો ધર્મ છે કે આ વિષ સામે સમાજ નું રક્ષણ કરે. અમે બિચારા ને સહાય કરો એ સાચો પુકાર છે, અને એ પોકાર ને માન આપી, સહાય કરવી જોઈએ, પણ એ લોકોની લાચારી સાચી છે કે ઢોંગ છે, એ જરૂર નક્કી કરવી જોઈએ, અને પછી જ સહાય. કમનસીબે અમેરિકા માં આ ચોકસાઈ નબળી હતી, અને આખી દુનિયા નિ ભાગેડુ ગેરકાયદેસર પ્રજા અમેરિકા પહોંચવા માં પોરવાયેલી હતી. આ સમાજ પ્રદુષિત (એમ નહીં કે એ લોકો ગુનેગાર છે – જે ટ્રમ્પ નો આરોપ છે જુઠ્ઠો!) પ્રજા ને તડીપાર તો કરવા જ રહ્યા. આનું જોઈ ને યુરોપ ના દેશો પણ આ વાત ના જાગૃત થયા છે. સરકાર મોટી દેવાદાર છે, એ દેવું ઓછું કરવું એ વાત પણ આવકારવા જેવી છે, અને એ અમેરિકા ના હિત માં જ છે, વિશ્વને અડકતી નથી. સરકારી ખર્ચા ઓછા કરવા ના વિચારો વિચિત્ર અને ક્રૂર છે, પણ એ અમેરિકા ના સમાજ નિ અંતર્ગત વાત છે, બીજા એ એમાં માથું મારવાનો હક નથી. મારે મન “રાક્ષસ આવ્યો, ધાજો રે ધાજો” એજ જ્ઞાન છે.

End of the month already! Faster than I expected. Spirals of thoughts move in swiftly into idle minds. The lead thought is of course “I know every thing!” In Gujarati, it is known as MBA – Mane Badhdhu Aavade”. Exact description of my mind- 40 days have a unique position in the social history of mankind. Be it Jesus or the Prophet or Moses going off somewhere for 40 days, acquiring vast enlightenment for the benefit of humankind before returning to society, or 40 days travel time for Yamdoot to reach the heavens with the soul of the departed, that triggers the closing rituals of the funeral. Like a pseudo gen- This day – 28th Feb 2025 – marks 40 days since the anointment of Trump as leader of America. How many people gained new insights?, how many leaders of democracies around the world changed their colours from (pretended) lily white to full blooded red – all in their respective national interests? And how many values, ideas and thoughts are celebrating their own crumbling departure from this human society? Primarily of course, Trump converted his campaign habits into state policy – Goebel’s “lie large, lie often”, foul mouth anyone and everyone, and deny all! Diplomacy, cultured behaviour, human values are misfits in political strategy, blackmailing societies already in pain to exact monetary and resources benefits, is sound policy for looking after ones own interests! There has never been a single political entity in human history which had not declared blackmail to be a crime – till now! The lesson to be learnt is that mercenary behaviour demanding huge quantum of resources in lieu of unstated help in a life or death situation, after collaboration with the person visiting this death and destruction on the society under discussion, is valid strategy for looking after ones own interests. Humane or considerate behaviour? Sorry, that is for un- Light now shines brightly on two key hypocrisies of American establishment (as being different from the American society of people). One is that America stands for civilised behaviour globally, and will promote humane values (in other societies, not it’s own), and the second is that the American establishment will always do the right thing i.e. human values based behaviour; although what is evident now, is whatever they do, is the right thing – in their view. Primarily then, only money matters. Neighbours of the US, genuflected to Trump’s “will impose additional tax on you” even before the inauguration party was over. There was a queue of other world leaders who wanted to do deals with the Great American Dealmaker, for protecting the interests of their own countries – duty bound behaviour worthy of appreciation, even if it meant encouraging blackmail as foreign policy. Well done, guys! More will come other “leaders” with large armies (indirect threats) or large economies. There are peals of laughter heard from a particular corner or should I say edge of the Earth’s landmass. But that hilarity is triggered by the crumbling of hypocrisies and display of jelly spines. Russia – it is claimed – is run by “oligarchs” – government by a few whose sole merit is wealth. Now the world is watching American oligarchs taking seats of governance in that country. Congratulations! Poor Russian leader is cursed by the whole world – almost – but now is eulogised by the “leader of the free world (as he sees “free: as in no cost”). But, truth be told, Trump and his cohort of gun loving party members, have started some activities that will benefit the American society. Illegal migrants are exactly that – illegal. Each society and hence, country has a right and duty to decide who enters their land for what purpose. America is a country of migrants ( ask the native Indians?) and each new legal immigrant who satisfies the criteria laid down for the benefit of that society has contributed (mostly) positively. It is therefore natural and duty- |
